Lately, I have been analyzing a lot of my music on my Ipod and I began to wonder whether I liked the lyrics or the rhythm more. I wonder when someone listens to a song that they love the song because of the lyrics and what the artist is trying to convey or do you just like the rhythm. In my case, I like some songs because of the message that is being sent, but in other cases I just like a song because it is something to dance to. Do you define the songs you like by the sound or do you define it by the lyrics and what is being said? The definition of music is an art of sound in time that expresses ideas and emotions in significant forms through the elements of rhythm, melody, harmony, and color. How do you define your favorite songs? Are there songs that you really dont like the lyrics, but you like the rhythm? What is music to you?
